I am going to visit my last living relative on my mother's side that really Knew my mom....my mom's sister ......so I thought I would ask my aunt some questions about my mom and their childhood. Would love to have any suggestions on what you would want to know if you were me.

I think her memories will guide you and lead to questions you want to ask.
you know...i imagine once you start the questions will just spill out...
what a wonderful visit this will be, I do imagine!! I'm trying to think what I would ask. I know there are things I think about now that I wished I knew about my mom's family (they are all gone now) but of course trying to think about them right now, I'm drawing a blank.
betty
I would want to hear stories about funny things, getting into trouble, secrets, you name it.
Ask about their childhood and it will roll on from there.
Oh I would ask about all of the above and any family history she might know. Have fun!
I would want to know EVERYTHING! Favorite toys, funny memories, what school was like, what chores they did, what their mom/dad were like and on and on and on. Write it down or video tape it.
I agree with the others, I think once you start, the questions will just naturally follow. Have a good visit
Oh my goodness...how wonderful. I would want to know so many things...what she was like as a child...how she was as a student..with boys...everything!!
I have not been by in awhile...LOVE the header photo.
Oh my...how lucky you are to have this opportunity. I don't think I could narrow it down to one question..I'd ask them all! Enjoy..cannot wait to hear about it.
I would want to know the funny, quirky stories. The silly stuff that happens that makes a person unique.
I'd probably love to hear all the stories about naughty antics and silly things they did.
I'd like to hear about when I was very little. Things she & I did before I was old enough to remember.
I would want to know about her life when she was a kid, before she had children.
I would want to know what she dreamed about becoming when she grew up. What funny things she did, what did she do that would shock you now. Her favorite music, teen idol I guess all the girly stuff :)
Oh I forgot to mention how much I love your header :)))
I would want to know what she was like as a child
Hmm, I'd want to know where our family came from originally-- what your mom was like at various ages-- and what you aunt sees in you that reminds her of your mom.
Have a great visit!!!
xo
Hearing stories about their childhood together would probably entertain you for hours.
I would want to know what my mom liked to do, read, write, sing, and who her friends were and where they are now.
As for me, I'm curious,, I would want to know everything!
A great topic is childhood!
Have a great week ahead!
Big hugs!
B xx
I'd like to know a story about them growing up. I love old stories like that.
Hope you have fun!
Take a tape recorder with you so you can have her voice on tape. It will add to the memory. Do they still make taper recorders?
First of all, I don't know what's going on with Blogger, but the last two posts have taken me hours to get right, too.
What an adorable little girl. And look at you! I had that exact same hairdo. You look about 14 there.
Happy Birthday, Angela!
Have you already gone? What a great opportunity!!
You're so lucky to get to do this. I discovered the world of genealogy before my own mother died and luckily I had a chance to get a lot of family history from her just before she had a stroke. Her memory was always fuzzy after that. I wish I had sat and talked to my dad and grandparents. I was always a little shy around them, I guess.
