As we all remember the many lives that were lost on that terrible day ~ September 11th...........I am also remembering my dad's birthday. As I have said before, he was a wonderful man who was loved by all who met him ~ young and old. I so wish that he was here to see my daughters (his granddaughters) and all that they have accomplished.............his son,Rusty, my brother an awesome father now.......married to the most wonderful woman in the world.........there two kids ( his grandson and granddaughter) ..........my grandson ( his great grandson)......his son Greg ...........all the many things he has learned. I miss him so much!! We all do!!

thoughts for you today...smiles.
How blessed you are to have had such a wonderful father. He may not be "there" to see his legacy, but I have a feeling he beaming down from the heavens and very proud.
Sweet picture.....sweet memories!
What a beautiful tribute to your awesome dad. Thanks for sharing.
Your father is a 9/11 event to celebrate!
Happy birthday to your father, and I believe he knows you are thinking of him. Blessings to you, and I hope somebody gives you a well deserved hug...
While you are remembering your wonderful father on this special day, know that your readers are thinking of you :)
Celebrating the life that was is often bitter sweet! I'll be thinking of you.
That was a great tribute to him!
One of the things I miss the most also is that my parents never knew my kids or my grandkids.
That is a really great picture of your dad.
Blessings and hugs to you!

You are so blessed to have had a father you can write about with such love and devotion.
He is here...didn't you just see all that he was doing. I know that there are hugs being passed around to this day from the loving hugs your very own dad gave you.
Happy Birthday to your dad - I know you miss him terribly. But he does live on in each of you. Many hugs Gayle!
he sounds like a great dad and man! I am sorry he wasn't able to be there to see his "grands" and spend more time with you and your brother......

Such beautiful words - you bought a tear to my eyes.
Your father sounds like he was a magnificent man. I hope your day is full of happy thoughts of your times together.
I don't think there is any greater compliment to a life than to still be loved and missed years after death. I don't think it will happen to me because I am not even missed now when I'm away. Well, my wife, Judy, will. But that's about it. I am happy for your dad.
Oh, what a legacy he left behind him with those he loved and who loved him.
Sending you a little hug and a prayer as you take each memory out and hold it in your heart for him.
He sounds like a wonderful man, and you are rightfully proud of him.
Look at the wonderful family he left behind. That says it all.
