Gayle, You have brought back some fond memories of you, Judy, and I as we exchanged our Christmas gifts with each other at Baucom. I still have the Little Honey Bear you gave me made from bee's wax, also the Granny's Goodie Bag Judy made me one year, it's still being use with my g-grandkids. They all go to the pantry to see what is in Granny's goodie bag. Mostly something small, but always a delight to see them find something,
evern if it's a pencil, notepad , or a new toothbrush, sometimes a lolipop. There's always something in there for them to find. I just love reading your blog and seeing the pictures. You really look to young to be a Grandma! Emile has grown up so pretty and I'm sure she's a great Mom. Of course I feel I contributed some from the Kindergarden Kitchen Chemistry Class! (Smile!) Love You, and keep up the good work. Your Baucom Buddy, Paulette

From Gerald: Yes for some years now we have been using an artificial tree, due to cost but mostly because of hanging all those lights that normally did not light the first time, then having to find the loose or blown bulb which seem to take hours, frustrating hours. The Artificial tree seems to have taken most of this away but this year Gayle wanted to hang those little silver balls on a string (about 75 to 100ft) that I used one year. I think these more aggravating than lights ever were to get hung properly. Well there were a few bad words said and I took out my frustrations on Gayle and Greg but I got them up. They may go in the trash when the tree comes down, just not sure yet. Over all the tree looks good and as the picture shows, we had a Bryson Christmas tree lighting. He is starting to understand that something is up as we watched several Christmas movies over the week end.
Gayle and I sure do have a lot of fun when he is around and we both do things you wouldn’t normally ever catch us doing but you do these things without question with hopes of a good time and memory to keep.

Gayle, Such a wonderful blog. I read everything! Hope you keep it up. It was great catching up on whats been happening with your family. I'll be praying for Gregs successful gall bladder surgery and Geralds skin cancer. I loved all the pictures of your family. Tell Emily I think the pictures of Bryson are precious! I especially liked the one of him as engineer in front of Thomas the Tank Engine and the one of him in the leaves. More pictures please! Only one of you? At least I could see Gerald in a few cutting Brysons hair, etc. One Christmas I remeber going to Uncle Genes house and Greg got a scale model John Deere green tractor and the steering wheel moved the front wheels. Above the mantel there was a kentucky rifle with Christmas decorations on it. Hope Rusty has it now. Tell Angela, Rusty, Maxine & everyone else Merry Christmas from Phil Clawson
