Two Girls

I got to thinking I always write about Bryson. So I thought -why not write about something different. I decided to write about my daughters.

Angela lives in Raleigh about 20 miles away from us and I wish she lived closer. She is always busy. Mostly it is because of her job. Angela loves her job. She teaches 9th grade English and Young Adult Literature. Some are advance courses and some are regular. She teaches Saturday school and some type of after school program two or three days a week. When she is not grading papers she is writing papers. Once a week she takes a class at North Carolina State (NCSU) working toward her Masters Degree in English. I want her to write a book because she is a wonderful writer. She has written a couple of stories that would make great novels. When do I have time she says. In her free time, which is very seldom, she loves to read. I am very proud of her!!
Emily lives in Apex about about 12 miles away from us and I wish she lived closer too. She lives between us and Angela. Emily works for the Town of Apex. She is an Administrative Assistant. Not sure exactly what she does. I don't know how she does it --she has to be a work at 7:30am. That means she has Bryson fed, dressed and at the sitter before that. She likes the variety of things that she does for her job. Emily is an awesome momma! She likes to cook and do different types of crafts. She gets wonderful ideas and can do anything she sets her mind to. Emily calls us everyday and when she doesn't we worry.:) I am very proud of her.
I am very lucky that my girls live as close as they do and hope that it stays that way.

Another Day

Bryson putting air in his cars tires and using a wrench. Grandpa and Bryson coloring.

Kept Bryson again all day today. Thanks Aunt Barbara, I got up earlier so I was at least dressed. I got to thinking "what ifs"--You know what if he got hurt and I had to take him to the doctor or something like that and I wasn't even dressed.
Having a little boy to play with is so much fun and so NEW. I need to practice making the noises though: fire engine, car, train etc. When ever I make them around my family, they always laugh. I'll have to get Bryson to teach me. We played out side a little more today. I was so surprised when he picked up tools that Gerald left out and started working on his little cars. He is so Smart.
His nose didn't run as much today and when it did he would say"nose running". Now that IS smart---I have first graders that I have to tell that too
House update-Gerald is almost finished with the floor in the dining room(our old living room). Then it's molding around the doors and windows (he has to make and paint) for the kitchen and dining room. If anyone is wondering what is taking so long -well he works full time, the first of the year he was out of town a lot and "Family" not our house is our TOP priority.

My Day

This is how I spent my day: Up at 7:00am & had coffee. Emily brought Bryson so I could babysit. Wiped his nose. Washed my hands. Fixed him breakfast. Brush his teeth and my teeth. Wiped his nose. Washed my hands. Tip toed to my bathroom and washed my face. Wiped his nose. Washed my hands. Read to Bryson and played with cars. Wiped his nose, washed his face and put Vaseline on him. Oops forgot to say I changed his diaper a couple of times in there. Washed my hands. Fixed his lunch and mine. Tried to convince him how much fun it would be to take a nap in Gramme and Grandpa's bed. No nap he said. Let him play a little and then we got in bed for a nap. He rolled cars over me--I was the hill. Finally asleep. Got up from nap and put his clothes on-I still wasn't dressed. More nose wiping and diaper changing. More hand washing and playing. Snack time. Grandpa comes in: they get to rock and watch a little tv. Momma (Emily) comes. He doesn't want to go home(Grandpa and Gramme sneak a smile at each other, we loved this.) I really had a wonderful day, no kidding. Well, I guess I better go wash my hands and take a shower and put a clean night gown on and relax.

Easter 2009

We celebrated Easter with Angela and Kendrick, Emily, Sean and Bryson on Sunday. Emily and family will be going to the mountains Easter weekend. We had a brunch-breakfast casserole, cinnamon rolls, fruit and bagels. It was delicious. After brunch Gerald and I had a Easter egg hunt for Bryson on our side yard. We don't know who had more fun........us or Bryson.
