My 4 1/2 year old grandson and my daughter made this picture for his preschool homework. It had to be about weather. He wanted a tornado (or twister as he likes to call them), house, cow, train and dirt in his picture. This is the final project.
Little did they know that the next day ~ we would have severe weather in our area with tornado's. Around 62 tornado's in 15 counties in 5 hours. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by this devastation!

wow...we were under warnings all day yesterday...and flooding...craziness...i too hope all are well...
we had a very short and intense storm (with sideways rain) as the system came through then quickly headed in your direction. are you all okay?
We were in the basement for a good two hours...fearing that we would get hit with a tornado (at least I was fearful, everyone else pacified me!) Raleigh, NC got hit pretty bad, unfortunately as did many other areas. Glad you are safe!
Tornadoes are so scary. I'm glad you are ok.
The weather here was pretty wicked but no tornadoes; although I did hear the warnings for a lot of surrounding counties.
I grew up in Oklahoma so I have seen the damage tornados can do too many times. It sounds like your part of the country saw the worst of it yesterday.
Bryson's preschool project is fabulous! Our kids call them twisters, too, because the farmhand in Wizard of Oz shouts "It's a twistah!" Yesterday's batch was pretty horrific.
The variety of ways that Mother Earth shows her power is astouning. Twisters are among the most terrifying. Hope that all is well with your family!!
love the art! very inventative!!
glad you guys are all ok! I get so scared when the talk of twisters comes up with storms! There is no safe place in my house! Every room has windows!
I've been reading about all the severe weather going on. Rather scary
great picture! but oh no about the reality!
i hope all is ok
Cool picture! Sorry to hear about the tornadoes. Seems the world is getting a real beating lately! Hope everything is ok where you are!
Wow! We were affected here in PA as well. Within 3 days, there were 241 reported tornadoes from that storm from several states!! Hope you all survived the storm.
BTW, great art work!
I am sorry to hear that you are so close to this area where there are so many tornadoes. Stay safe.
That was a great imagination of your Grandson with the picture and I think it came out great; so sorry though that you and other parts ot the country were affected with such weather like this!!
betty
It's too scary. Stay safe.

Stay safe. We had heard about the twisters here in Ohio. Thoughts and prayers to those affected.
Amen...been watching the news...this year isn't even half way through, and it is turning out to be very devastating weather so far...
wow, looks like an abstract one!
all i can say is they are truly gifted!
have a great day!
betty xx
i do hope all are well.
sorry to hear about the bad weather.
He did a great job. I am so glad you are ok.
That is an awesome picture.
And how lucky you were not affected by the bad weather and twisters.
Great picture! Glad you all are safe!
Now that is pretty creative...
Love the picture. Did he have a premonition? I am terrified of tornado's. Truly, I would rather ride an earthquake any day.
My nephews home was damaged. Thankfully not seriously, but never the less it was hit. He is in Washington DC recovering from losing his leg by an IED in Afghansistan.
Very creative! All of you on that side of the country are in my prayers. Stay safe!
Gosh what a crazy coincidence?! The picture is very cool, reminiscent of those famous pictures that look like children's paintings.
I hope everyone is OK, prayers!
I think the picture is wonderful, but awfully scary for everyone. hope all are safe too. have a happy easter weekend. hugs to you.
What a great picture (o:
Yes, there has been crazy weather out there...hope you stay safe.
My first thought was don't let your grandson make any pictures of natural disasters again!!! Hope you are safe.
The picture looks great, but I'm sorry that the weather was severe. Scary stuff. Stay safe.
Love the pic! I am tired of the BAD weather!!! One more storm will completely so me in!
With a tree in my living room, and four more days of tornadoes AND the highway to my Indiana home closed due to being under water....I hesitate to even imagine what is happening to the midwest.
Sweet...
How are you Gayle?
Miss you in blogville...
And they are still wreaking havoc!
It looks like a scene from The Wizard of Oz. And those twisters are still wreaking havoc. It's awful.
So the boy can predict the weather...that's handy!...ok, not funny, but really, it's eery isn't it, that the day after his pic, the tornados began. Tell him to draw blue skies and sunshine!
Reminded me of Wizard of Oz too. Realy good but eerie. We had some real devastation around here too. Heartbreaking.
Sandra
That is so scary! I don't live in an area that has twisters and I am so impressed that you are able to weather that storm! You are brave.
