Problems Problems Problems

We just installed Windows 7 and I have had nothing but one problem after another.
Problems: My icons changed ...we had them the way we wanted them and they just changed by themselves, my print size is to small so I increased it and now it's too big, when I open up a new window..like blog or face book or email...it doesn't open up full like it use to...I want it the way it use to be, we made a back up DVD of our pictures and now we can't get it to show since we changed to Windows 7. We thought all our problems were going to be solved by changing from Vista to Windows 7 but that has not happened.. I am about to pull my hair out and my husband is being driven NUTS by ME!!!!!I can not ask him any more questions today. Help!!! All I have done today is search for answers and haven't gotten any. Oh and I changed my blog and then couldn't even read anything and had to go back and fix that and I am not even sure I like that.
And....none of this probably doesn't even make any sense to anyone...
Happy New Year to Me!!

I do really hope your first day of the New Year has gone better than mine!!
Oh and I am very thankful for my many blessings!! I really am ...It's just been a bad computer day.

I guess I will not upgrade to 7. My vista is working just fine. Hope you get everything fixed. Dad must have been sweating. Ha ha.

I will stay with xp. I hate when they want to get better. Better for who? My mom tickles me she wants 98 back. Hope your computer problems work their self out soon.

Technology drives me crazy! But, I don't know what I'd do without it. Hope you get the kinks worked out soon.

Microsoft sucks. Go see if there is a patch or service pack and let it run. The first version of Microsoft anything always sucks.

I seem to get a new operating system with every computer upgrade. This time I stayed with Vista, just because I couldn't handle the idea of changing again. Good luck with the problems, they should get fixed, keep using the built in help.

Remember, computer problems are fixable, but not all people problems are...

I am not a computer guy by any stretch. I really do not even know what you are talking about! LMAO! Your blog looks great. I hope that you get it ironed out!

The more they improve things, the worse they get! I hope I never have to contend with Windows 7. XP suits me just fine! Thanks for the warning.

I am so technically challenged. I know my limitations and I have to call the pros in when I have trouble. We switched over to an Imac from PC a couple of years ago and once I got the hang of the new applications, it's been a heck of a lot easier.

good luck to you with it and yes, Happy New Year too!

OMG Gayle, please don't tell me Windows 7 is worse than Vista!! Nothing can be worse than Vista! lol. Let me know when you get the bugs out, then maybe I'll think about another upgrade...

I am technology illiterate. I have a very old Dell and I am in need of a new computer. I have one of the tech guys at work figuring out what I need in a new computer because I don't understand what any of it means! I understand your frustration completely! Hope you get things fixed soon.

I so love your picture, I have been there many times. I have a mac for four years now and am so glad I made the switch. I feel for you though. I'm glad you added the last sentence, yes, it is good to put it all into perspective and bask in the glow of all our blessings.

I feel for you. Every time I have a computer problem and go for help, I get "I've never heard of that before". Computer experts who know everything always say they've never seen my problem before, and it's so frustrating. I hope you get it worked out....for your sanity and his.

I love that picture. I have not had a problem with VISTA and will stay with it for now.

My husband is a programmer and I would be so lost without him... when HE gets frustrated, I just back off and don't say a word...

This is the reason I wait for a few months to get the "new" platforms. I let everyone else work out the bugs because I don't have patience either. I'm still getting used to Vista.

I love the cartoon at the top. It's how I feel often when we "upgrade."

I actually love Windows 7. Though I bought a new computer instead of upgrading. Hopefully the problems will get fixed. In general once you get through the upgrade issues I think you'll like the new OS

Love that cartoon.
I've felt that way quite a bit with my computer.

Oh Gayle! I hear you! I've just spent over two hours trying to connect my printer (still not done!). Email me, maybe we can work it out together! Because, seriously??? It shouldn't be that complicated!! (gigisramblings@yahoo.com)

BTW - I've been responding to your questions in my comments via email - want to be sure that you are receiving them....

By the way - love the new template!! And the cartoon!!!

technology is supposed to make our lives easier but I frequently find my computer to be a pesky pain in the butt! (like when it CRASHED the day after Christmas!)

Visiting from Theta Mom to spread the bloggy comment love!

I have heard that about W7 from a lot of people. I haven't made the plunge yet and now you made my wait even longer. Thanks for the info.

Oh I do not like installing new programs I do not like it at all. Good luck!

I will not agree on it. I assume polite post. Expressly the title attracted me to be familiar with the unscathed story.

I am sooo with ya! I hate Windows 7 for exactly the things you said... I can't get my fonts adjusted to the size I want them without making the icons huge.

And I hate the new version of Incredimail even more and the old version will not run on Windows 7... a lot of programs will not run on Windows 7 :(

Why would they make a version that won't run the programs that people still use often??? Grrrrr.... I'm so tempted to have my hubby put XP on my new computer... getting a new computer is supposed to be fun... not this frustrating!
