Do Kids Still Play With These?

Let's Make A Movie Theater
This is what Bryson wanted to do when he came over to our house the other day! Of course, Grandpa helped. Does anyone remember Lincoln Logs? What are your experiences with them?
Me ~ I don't remember playing with them as a child and my daughters didn't have them either. So this is a new experience for me! Grandpa and Bryson love playing with Lincoln Logs!!

I used to play with lincoln logs at my grandparents' house! Those were awesome! And I am going to be 46! Way to update with the movie theater!!

My brother had them, so I remember playing with them. My son never had any interest in them, he preferred Legos.

I didn't play with Lincoln Logs but my kids did. They liked Legos and Lincoln Logs.

Oh, I just tossed out a whole slew of Playmobile. Those are the little figures, right? Too many pieces missing after being played with by two boys.

Love the movie theater-especially the stadium seating.

We had Lincoln Logs and loved them! No plastic parts back then... all the pieces were wood. It was way before Legos were invented. Kudos to Grandpa on the fab movie theater, BTW!

My brother had Lincoln Logs over 50years ago, my son had them and my grandsons have them. I think the newer ones are plastic and come with a lot more parts, but still a very fun toy.

I don´t know them from when my girls were small, but then again they were girls...
Looks like the two of them had lots of fun together!

That is quite the set up those boys built. I think it is neat when an older man such as a child's granfather can get down on their level and play with them, and teach them things. My grandfather was always teaching us something when we were kids, everything had a lesson behind it.. LOL as much as we hated it then, I appreciate every memory now.
My kids have legos... I may try to find them some Lincoln Logs though, they look pretty neat:)

I have never seen them here in New Zealand.

I never had lincoln logs myself but I knew other kids who did. You know it's a good toy if it's still around after all these years :) How cute that Bryson wanted to build a movie theater

We totally had those when we were kids. I saw them the other day at Target and can't wait to buy them for Jack when he is a little older.

I have never heard of Lincoln Logs, but my oldest, who is now 14, would have LOVED them!...maybe I can get him off the XBOX long enough to show some interest now, then I can alleviate the guilt I experience at the ridiculous amount of hours he spends looking at a video screen! Where do I find Lincoln logs!

Yes, I loved lincoln logs - though they were a lot more basic back in the day. We didn't have all those fancy shapes and colors, just the brown "logs."

My boys (now 32 and 38) had a huge box of wooden blocks leftover from when our house was built. Those were their favorite building materials.

I remember playing with Lincoln Logs when I was a kid and so I made sure my girls had them too. They always enjoyed constructive play and the lincoln logs were a favorite. They still make and sell them today!

My boys had lots of Lincoln logs. They liked them when they were littler. Now they prefer Legos. They can build sturdier things with Legos.

I totally remember Lincoln Logs. Loved them.. And Slinkies, and yo-yo's and hula hoops. We had great toys back then "in the olden days." ;)

I do remember playing with Lincoln Logs, but I also recall them being made of actual wood. If I'm not mistaken, those pictured here are some sort of plastic, right?

Most of the older kids do the "Lego" thing now I think, but I do remember Lincoln Logs too.
