Merry Christmas

Wishing Everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!!

This is your Christmas card this year. I have had "do Christmas cards" on my list since the beginning of December and for some reason just didn't do them. In fact it's still on my list. I am afraid it's one (of many) things that will not get done this year. Just hope I get over this feeling guilty feeling I have.

I used to beat myself up over the things I didn't get done before Christmas, but a quote from Martha Stewart (of all people!) really helped. She said, "You don't have to do everything, you just have to do something." I'm sure you did a LOT for Christmas. None of us can do everything!

I haven't done Christmas cards for the last 5 years and no one hates me for it. The world didn't end. The only one I received was from my dentist. I think I can live with that.

Gayle - I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with lists (and ignored items on said list!). Sorry, I haven't been by to say hi (and thanks for becoming a friend!) but I've been kinda focused on my ::ummmmm:: lists! Love your card! And a Merry Christmas to you!!!

I started doing New Year's cards instead of Christmas cards. Then Valentines. Then...nothing. And every year I still believe I'm going to do cards. Maybe that's what they mean when they say "Believe." But seriously, no guilt allowed!

This is the first year that I've let things slide. No homemade peanut butter balls in the house, oh well. No scotch cookies made, too bad. There's dust in the corner of the living room, such is life. I'm tired of trying to be perfect. No one will die because they don't get peanut butter balls or because of the dust. Don't beat yourself up over the cards.

I hope you and your family have a great holiday. Enjoy your time together!

Merry Christmas Gayle! And thanks for the carol! I needed that happy music much more than I needed a card.

Fear not! Casa Hice did not drop you! I double checked and everything is kosher. Except, my photo is gone. I'm one of the shadow faces for some reason. No wonder you missed me! No bright pink bathing suit to admire! That happened with another blog and I'm not sure why... on my profile page, it's there. Why it's not showing up on some blogs is weird.

Have a wonderful Christmas my friend. Relax and enjoy the magic.

Hi Gayle,
Jack and I were both sick for a whole week before Christmas this year - sooo a lot of things didn't bet done and I was to sick and tired to even feel guilty about it!
Maybe we'll make New Years Cookies instead!
