Griswold's NOT

Last weekend my sister in law, Meredith, said we had to bring Bryson over to play with Ally and Colby and see their yard. She said it's going to look like the Griswold's! Rusty, my brother, had gone crazy with the blow ups.
So last night we took our granson over to see. Turns out Rusty did a great job spacing the blow ups around the yard and it looks good. The kids had a wonderful time running around looking and playing!
That is one of the fun things about Christmas!! Seeing the delight in a childs eyes!

That is wonderful and looks like so much work! I can remember how much trouble it was just trying to get my daughter's little pool inflated last Summer. Hope these have a cord or something that means they self-inflate! Oh yes, and they would need to be tied down too, at least the pool just needed water to stay put Lol!

I bet the kids love being around them though, so festive and colorful!

Those are some wicked cool blow ups! Some of the ones I have seen are not cool. Those are fabulous!

My youngest is 7 and he is so excited this year! The older two don't "believe" anymore and have lost some of the wonder. I am so cherishing this last little bit with the baby boy!

Some of the people in my neighborhood would kill to have Santa on a horse and a train! I live in a very large subdivision and the neighbors have everything you can imagine - from the very elegant and traditional, to fun and tacky.
Seeing your pictures makes me realize that "it's all about the kids." :)

Oh Gayle! How lovely. Wish we had this stuff when I was growing up. It must be so magical for the kiddies.

And you reminded me of one of my all-time favorite movies: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! That Clark Griswald... what a character! But I think I even liked Randy Quaid better. He was a riot. I'm going straight to NetFlix and putting that in my queue!

Gayle, this is such a cute idea. Please tell Rusty how much we enjoy the pic's on your blog. I've never seen this before. I'm doing real well. Just have to take care and let the healing process do it's job. Love to you all, Aunt Barbara

Well, isn't that just the coolest thing ever. What fun!

I have a secret desire to be the Griswolds. Maybe not with blow ups but with the old plastic figures from the 1050's. I'd love a yard full of them. It looks like you had a great time.
